Pampaneira was a pioneer in celebrating New Year’s Eve with a bonfire in the square, to keep warm and dance to music on La Alpujarra nights.
New Year’s Eve in Pampaneira is celebrated in the Square de la Libertad with a lively atmosphere. The town’s residents and others from nearby gather, along with tourists who choose to welcome in the new year in a different way. Together, with grapes and cava, they celebrate the twelve chimes, dance and wish each other all the best for the New Year.
