The Santa Cruz festivities are usually held on the first weekend of May (around 3 May) and on the second weekend of August. These are the patron saint festivities, a tradition deeply rooted in the town, with a festive and religious character that includes music, dancing, gastronomy and cultural activities
A host of activities are organised by the stewards of Pampaneira in collaboration with the local council. Highlights include the traditional ringing of bells, floral arrangements, the mass, traditional games, the procession in honour of La Santa Cruz, the musical festival, bingo and, of course, the Entierro de la Zorra (Burial of the Fox).
