IMMERSIVE TOUR OF THE TINAOS

Tinaos of Pampaneira: Immersive route

The idea of creating an Immersive Route through the Tinaos of Pampaneira arose from the reactivation of these spaces through the Sulayr Festival, in an attempt to recover the memory and tradition of the municipality.

Thanks to the Rural Campus Programme, promoted by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge in collaboration with the University of Granada, this project began to take shape in 2022 by Carla Alba Pulido, who collected much of the audiovisual material and rescued the experiences of the residents of Pampaneira. In 2023, Ana Belén Olmedo Molina is continuing the project, creating a route through the tinaos that takes us into these experiences and popular knowledge, the customs of yesteryear and the anecdotes that its people tell us.

The Tinaos on the Route are marked with handwritten names by Ana Ruiz on slate stones native to the area.

We invite you to explore these unique spaces in La Alpujarra with the residents of Pampaneira, who will take us on a journey to a place where past and present merge.
