La Policarpa Route is a free tourist route. Visitors can enjoy a tour where the village acts as an exhibition hall, displaying a series of slate stone slabs with painted images of La Policarpa, which incorporate distinctive elements of the village’s traditions and current daily activities, created by the artist and official photographer of the Sulayr Festival, Ana Ruiz H. During her residency in the municipality, she has captured La Policarpa, a fox that is the protagonist of these stones, which can be found in different places around the village. This project aims to revive and recover traditions and is inspired by the famous Entierro de la Zorra (Burial of the Fox), a local tradition that takes place after the patron saint festivities. During the festival, there will be a guided tour with the artist accompanied by other participants. Register here.
